Gurthrö Steenkamp is on the bench for Toulouse who play Stade Français in a Top 14 match in Toulouse on Saturday. It will be the Springbok's first appearance for his new club.

Gradually players at the World Cup are making their way back into Top 14 rugby. Steenkamp, formerly of the Blue Bulls, last played for South Africa against Australia in the quarterfinal of the World Cup on 9 October 2011. He has had a good rest.

The other member of the Toulouse side who was at the World Cup is scrumhalf Nicolas Vergallo of the Pumas who will be playing against his World Cup captain Felipe Contepomi who is at flyhalf for the pink Parisians along with other World Cuppers Paul Williams of Samoa, Sergio Parisse of Italy and Rodrigo Roncero of Argentina.

Steenkamp's new team is in a strong position on the Top 14 log. They are third, just two points behind Castres and Clermont. Stade Français, in the other hand, have had a largely disappointing season and are currently ninth.

The match is  at Stade Ernest-Wallon in Toulouse.
