The Brumbies scored nine tries in a one-sided pre-season romp against an ACT XV that suffered a massive 66-0 defeat in an internal trial at Greenway Enclosed Oval on Thursday.
Although the ACT XV started with purpose, pushing the Brumbies back into their territory and forcing a few mistakes, the Super Rugby franchise soon found their feet and took control of the game.
Scrumhalf Nic White got the ball rolling with an early penalty which proved to be the only three-pointer in the game, as the floodgates opened up considerably after the Brumbies drummed up some momentum.
Hooker Anthony Hegarty forced his way over for the first try of the match, and there were to be two more tries before half-time as the Brumbies pulled away from the ACT XV.
Left wing Jesse Mogg finished well when he was put over by fullback Robbie Coleman who had managed to isolate two front row forwards, and White added a converted try of his own just before the break to give the Brumbies a 24-0 lead at half-time.
Things really opened up for the Brumbies in the second half as they ran in six converted tries without answer, with a host of replacement players getting an opportunity to impress coach Jake White.
