Captaincy change for Sharks

Bismarck du Plessis will lead the Sharks into battle against the Kings on Friday, while the JP Pietersen centre experiment continues.

Du Plessis takes charge of the side for the first time on Friday, with skipper Keegan Daniel on the bench for the clash.

Pietersen has featured at outside centre for both of the Sharks last two hit-outs, and will partner Tim Whitehead in the midfield for the second match in a row.

The halfback pairing of Freddie Michalak and Pat Lambie are back in business again as the continue to grow their relationship, which could prove vital to the Sharks hopes for the season.

There are changes in the loose trio from the team that tackled Boland last week, as Marcell Coetzee shifts to the side of the scrum to make room for Ryan Kankowski at No.8, while Jacques Botes starts at openside in Daniel's absence.

Jannie du Plessis takes over at tighthead from Wiehahn Herbst and will partner his brother and Dale Chadwick in the front row.

Sevens ace Paul Jordaan is among the replacements and could be a real bolter off the bench in the second half.
