Exiles looking to be quick out the blocks

London Irish will be hoping for another impressive start to the European Cup when they welcome Edinburgh to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

The Exiles began the 2010/11 season in style beating former champions Munster at home and will be keen to get off to a winning start when Michael Bradley's side come to town.

Delon Armitage was ruled out of the first two rounds earlier in the week after picking up a five-week suspension, but Toby Booth has an array of talent to chose from.

Edinburgh return to Reading for the first time since 2002 and will be looking for better fortunes, after slipping to a 8-24 defeat on that occasion.

Their form in domestic action has seen them win just three games this season, but do go into Europe on the back of a moral boasting victory over Benetton Treviso in Northern Italy.

Edinburgh coach Michael Bradley has made just one change to the starting line-up that defeated Treviso at the Stadio Monigo last weekend (22-11).

Stuart McInally moves up from the bench to No.8 at the expense of Fijian internationalist Netani Talei, with his promotion making space for Roddy Grant.

The squad has been boosted by the return of lock/flank, Sean Cox, who returns for his first match following a knee injury sustained against Scarlets last month, and centre James King, who come in for Steven Turnbull and Chris Leck respectively.

The stability in selection means that Bradley has shown faith in his young performers with flyhalf Harry Leonard (who scored all but five of the points in the Treviso match), centre Matt Scott and lock Grant Gilchrist making their European Cup debut while fullback Tom Brown is set to do likewise if called upon from the bench.
