Simon Shaw the veteran (38) Wasps lock has been officially signed on by Toulon as a 'medical joker'.
According to the daily La Provence, the big man will take the place of Jocelino Suta, who broke the radius of his right arm at the end of last month.
Shaw had previously been in talks with Toulon's as a 'medical joker' to cover for Bakkies Botha who will be out for a month or more with his damaged Achilles.
