Wade is this season's Aviva Premiership tryscoring sensation and Wasps' director of rugby said: "You can't say he's a star in the making because he's already there.
"He would be the first to say there's parts of his game that need to improve. Defensively he was caught out once or twice today - but what a player to excite the crowd.
"There are very few players about who as soon as he gets the ball gets everyone on the edge of their seats. Give him a sniff and he'll certainly finish them off.
"He's building up a real reputation and he's a real threat to any team."
Wasps' victory ended a three-match losing run, after they won their opening two matches of the season, and Young added: "I thought we did enough to win the game.
"We played some good stuff on occasions and some dumb stuff on occasions too.
"We gifted Bath some points by not using the conditions but we found a way to win.
"There's still loads to work on but the set pieces - both scrum and lineout - and the discipline were a lot better.
"When things aren't going as well as you like you need that win and that little bit of breathing space."
Bath coach Brad Davis spoke to referee Andrew Small, who had disallowed two tries, after the final whistle.
Centre Ben Williams and winger Tom Biggs were both denied.
With the match not being televised the referee was operating without the use of a TMO official and video replays, even though the controversial incidents were shown again to fans on the big screen at Adams Park.
Davis explained: "I had a chat with Andrew after the game. I thought he didn't have too much assistance out there today.
"Obviously any coach on the losing side would feel a little bit aggrieved if all the 50-50s and some 100-percenters don't go your way.
"I'm no different so that was a brief conversation but ultimately we've got to look at our own performance that dictated the result and outcome of the match.
"To score 24 points away from home you should generally come away a winner.
"I thought we created a lot of chances and left two to three tries out there but maybe if TMOs were available at every match, possibly we could have been awarded those tries.
"But it is what it is and both teams have to play by the same set of rules. Unfortunately today those decisions didn't go our way but I think everyone at Adams Park knew after the replay that Ben grounded the ball."
