Cipriani: Beware Rebels trio

Controversial flyhalf Danny Cipriani can hardly wait to play with Wallaby stars James O'Connor and Kurtley Beale at the Melbourne Rebels in next season's Super Rugby competition.

The 24-year-old has planned to be in the headlines for the right reason's in 2012, after several unflattering off-field incidents that eventually left him suspended from playing for five weeks.

Cipiriani has become good friends with both Beale and O'Connor and believes the Rebels will turn a few heads with their new talent.

"I was really looking forward to coming back and having my good mates Kurtley and James here," he told AAP.

"We spoke about playing together before they'd even signed so it's something I'm really looking forward to - they're two of the best players in the world.

"Having them here raises the bar for everyone and I think it will make everyone realise the full potential that we have."

Cipriani's next task will be to line-up against O'Connor when the Wallabies face the Barbarians at Twickenham on November 26. Sadly the third member of the trio, Beale, won't be involved for Australia following a hamstring injury sustained at the World Cup.

Cipriani will be hoping to remind the England selectors of what he can do during the BaaBaas game.

"I played with the Barbarians last year and played well," he said. "This year against Australia at Twickenham, it's exciting times and I'm very much looking forward to it.

"It's a great opportunity for me."
