    Former Bears Pursue Oxford Blue

    University of California graduates and 2011 national collegiate champion co-captains Derek Asbun and Jason Law are the seventh and eighth former Golden Bear rugby players to pursue graduate studies at Oxford University, and are trying to become the fourth and fifth former Bears to earn Blue jerseys against Cambridge in the 130th Varsity Match to be played Dec. 8 at Twickenham Stadium in London.

    USA Men's Sevens Claims Pan American Games Bronze

    Team USA finished its Pan American Games debut in rugby sevens with a bronze medal victory, 21-17, against Uruguay on Sunday, the final day of the Games. They qualified into the bronze medal game after defeating Guyana, 24-12, in the quarterfinal and suffering a, 21-19, loss to Canada in the semifinal. The U.S. finished with an overall record of 2-2-1.
