Before a big, enthusiastic crowd at Boland Stadium in Wellington on a lovely winter's afternoon in the Boland two Wellington sides met in an FNB Classic Clash and this year Bergrivier won 23-10, turning the tables after Weltevrede's 10-8 victory last year.
This ended Weltevrede's unbeaten run this season.
Bergrivier thoroughly deserved their victory as they were the side that did most attacking. Up front the going was tough but the Bergrivier backs, with Lehnro Julies outstanding in the centre, were too good.
