SACS humiliated by Booishaai

Published: Monday, 1. August, 2011 in category Southern Hemisphere

SACS travelled out to Paarl on Saturday to take on the mighty Booishaai team hoping that their hosts may have one eye on Interschools the following week.

Instead, Boishaai used SACS as cannon-fodder and brutally exposed the massive gulf between the top teams in the country and the rest, running in eleven unanswered tries in humiliating their visitors 75 points to nil.

Boishaai were just too powerful up front and dominated every facet of play. SACS failed to pitch up mentally and physically and were horribly exposed. Allowing the Boishaai ball-carriers to off-load in contact almost at will SACS found themselves chasing shadows on a beautiful winter's morning out in the Boland.

Boishaai ran in five converted tries in the first half to lead 35-nil.

SACS did have a few moments on attack after the interval but poor option taking cost them the opportunity to score. Normal service was quickly resumed though as Boishaai combined forwards and backs to score another six tries in the second half, of which five were converted.

Boishaai will take much confidence from this performance as they head into the defining week of their season.

As for SACS, its back to the drawing board!
