The EP Kings registered their second consecutive victory in the provincial first division when they beat their neighbours the Border Bulldogs 62-15 in East London on Friday night.

The Kings outscored the Bulldogs by 10 tries to two, with Marcello Sampson getting a hat-trick and Jaco Bekker and George Whitehead adding two each but it was not enough to knock the Boland Cavaliers off the top of the table.

In the other match on Friday, the Cavaliers comprehensively beat the Griffons by 46-7, looking dangerous when they spread the ball wide. Unfortunately the game was marred by a deluge of errors from both sides, but Boland would nonetheless be happy with their second bonus-point victory.
