Boks out to break Sydney duck

The Springboks will look to break their duck at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, where they have never beaten Australia.

In all four of the previous meeting between the two sides at the venue have been won by the Wallabies, who have also out-scored the Boks 12 tries to four in Sydney.

However, the historical record between the two proud nations swings the pendulum back in South Africa's favor, as the Boks have won 41 of their 71 Tests against Australia, lost 29 and drawn once in 2001.

The Tri-Nations comparison emphasises how little there is to separate the two teams in the 34 meetings in this competition, where the Boks have won 17, lost 16 and drawn once.

The away record for the Springboks has been woeful in the Tri-Nations, where they have lost 13 of the 17 Tests on the road in Australia, won just three times and drawn once, scoring 25 tries and conceding 46.
