Johann Muller and Heinrich Brüssow will undergo final fitness tests on Friday, before a decision is made on whether they will have recovered sufficiently to take part in the away leg of the Tri-Nations.

The Springbok team departs for Australasia on Friday - for Tests against the Wallabies in Sydney on July 23 and against the All Blacks in Wellington a week later.

Both players undertook some light running during training on Wednesday, but have been given more time to prove their fitness.

Muller has an injured hamstring, while Brüssow’s recovery from a knee injury is being conservatively managed.

Prop forward Coenie Oosthuizen took a full part in Wednesday’s training, having recovered from an ankle injury.
