Davis hat-trick sends Reds into Final

Rod Davies scored three great tries as the Reds advanced to the Super Rugby Final with a 30-13 win over the Blues in Brisbane on Saturday.

It will be Reds' first Final in the professional era - they won the Super 10 competition in 1994 and 1995 - after the men from Brisbane lost on the Super 12 semifinals in 1996, 1999 and 2001.

The Reds deserved the win, not only because they were more clinical, but their also won the crucial moments.

For the Blues it was an error-riddled performance in which they had plenty of possession and territory, but simply could not breach the defensive line of this impressive Reds team.

Apart from making the Blues pay for their many errors, the Reds were sparked - as usual - by the brilliance of Quade Cooper, who had a huge hand in Davies' hat-trick.

In fact, Cooper even waded in with a late drop-goal to seal a sublime performance.
