Leopards feast on Bulls ... twice

Published: Saturday, 2. July, 2011 in category Southern Hemisphere

The Leopards, playing each half with a different team and jerseys, proved too strong for an experimental Blue Bulls XV in a pre-season friendly in Pretoria on Friday.

The Bulls team consisted mainly of players who played in the Varsity Cup, with the Leopards romping home to a 38-18 win at Loftus B.

This was an ideal hit-out for the visitors, with the Currie Cup competition scheduled to get underway in a fortnight's time.

The Blue Bulls, who only get their Super Rugby players back from leave on Monday, will play the Griffons with their full-strength side next Friday.
