FNB Cape Schools, Day 3

Published: Wednesday, 29. June, 2011 in category Southern Hemisphere

The weather of Saturday is now well and truly a thing of the past in warm, wind-free King William's Town and the last day of the FNB Cape Schools Week started with a massive upset.

Selborne were beating Boland Landbou 15-3 but back came the side from outside Paarl to win the match - a massive upset, though the big Selborne side had not had its own way on the first two days.

The question of Craven and Academy Week players gets lots of attention. Grey have been without their seven players, withdrawn just before the tournament. Boland Landbou have been without two of theirs, Wynberg without three of theirs, and so on. And there have been injuries. It's a pity but what an exciting opportunity for those who have been playing on Dale's 150th birthday.
