Men's Pools USA Rugby College 7s Nat'l Championship

The 24 teams that will take part in the 2012 USA Rugby Men's College Sevens National Championship at Texas A&M University from Nov. 30 to Dec.1 will be grouped into six pools of four as follows:

Play on Friday will consist of round robin matches between teams in the same pool. No extra time will be played in pool matches.  Competition points will be awarded for these matches on the following basis:

Win = 3 points    Tie = 2 points    Loss = 1 point

Position in the pool standings shall be determined by competition points as set out above. The six pool winners and the two pool runners-up with the most competition points will advance to the Cup Quarterfinals and will be seeded 1-8. The next four pool runners-up and the top four No. 3 pool teams based on competition points will compete in the Bowl Quarterfinals. The remaining two No. 3 teams and six No. 4 teams will compete in the Shield Quarterfinals.
