Memorial Service is scheduled for this Friday, 2/22, 7pm at St. Benedict's, 82nd and Bancroft, in Oakland. Please get everyone out to this service, wearing your rugby colors.  Spread the word.

All are welcome; the service will roll into an all night affair. 

After that, Lani and his wife Taufa need a wee break.

A reggae concert is planned for Merritt College the following Saturday, March 2nd. Two of those who died in the crash played in the band. Ryan Burke, Oakland Warthogs coach, has the details and weblink set up to receive donations.

The following weekend, Lani and Taufa would be keen to join our Rugby Community at a dinner.

I've checked w/ the director of the clubhouse at SFGG, Bruce Thomas, who in turn has checked w/ Tony Wells. Knowing the plan is to raise money for the family, the clubhouse is ours for free.   We've selected the following Saturday, March 9th and are coordinating catering. Nathan Trivers of the Up & Under Pub will make certain we have a delicious buffet spread.

Cocktails at 5 or 6, with a dinner to start an hour later?  

Other dates are available, so no need to rush, but I feel we need to move on this. A few speeches, a few gifts, time spent with good friends... The clubhouse can hold well better than 100 people.

Help me to build the head count.  Figure on a minimum $20 donation.  All monies will go to the family after covering food costs. Hope to see you all Friday at St. Benedict's We are all sorry for the reason, but it is time to come together.
