Brown was officially handed his cap earlier today and was still on a high after Andy Robinson's side secured a dramatic last-gasp victory in Newcastle.
"What a game to get your first cap in," Brown said. "To beat the Aussies Down Under is a brilliant experience.
"It is a great feeling at the moment, I am absolutely loving it and hoping for more, hoping to keep the success going with Scotland for the rest of the tour.
"The family will all be delighted. They have been 100% behind me my whole rugby career, giving me lifts to mini rugby then trips all the way to Edinburgh, when we lived in North Berwick, for matches at nine o'clock on Saturday morning.
"Unfortunately, they were back home watching on the telly, but I have had messages through. It is good to have support from back home, a nice feeling to know that everybody has been watching and the result was a great thing for Scottish rugby, a good lift for us."
Brown was one of two players handed their caps today.
Prop Ryan Grant had known for more than a week that he was going to get his after being picked in the starting XV, but Brown had to endure a nervous wait in the stands before his chance came two minutes before half-time, when Sean Lamont was forced off with a rib injury.
The wing may be Brown's second favourite position, but he was delighted to get the chance to play anywhere.
"I didn't get a pass," he admitted. "I don't think the ball got outside the fly half in all the time I was on. I did get a touch from the first kick of the ball after I came on, though.
"It came to me and got me in the game nice and early and settled those first nerves, which was good."
Brown's arrival meant that five of the back division that played most of the second half were all from Edinburgh and Matt Scott - the inside centre making his first start - felt that the familiar faces helped both he and Brown to settle.
"I am really chuffed for Tom, he deserves his cap," Scott said.
"It is good to have a club-mate alongside you.
"It helps a lot having Greig [Laidlaw] and Nick [De Luca] on either side of me as well as Mike [Blair] at scrum-half because we all really know each other well and defensively we have worked together all season.
"That was a massive help. To then have an extra member of the Edinburgh team in the backline was good as well.
"I have obviously had a relatively short professional career but I would say that was the best defensive performance I have been part of. I would certainly find it hard to think of another victory when the defence was that good.
"It is weird, Scottish teams seem to switch on in those conditions and seem to really battle hard for each other. We have seen that with a lot of famous victories in the past.
"It is something about those conditions. I don't know what it is, we just seem to pull together."
