Japan's Final decided

In the Final of the All-Japan Championship Top League champion Suntory Sungoliath will play league runners-up Panasonic Wild Knights in Tokyo next Sunday.

Suntory beat Toshiba Brave Lupus 23-8 at National Stadium, while Panasonic downed NEC Green Rockets 41-3 at Hanazono Stadium in Osaka.

The Finalists are the same two teams that played the Top League Final. On that occasion Suntory, coached by Eddie Jones, won. Brave Lupus were the only team to have beaten Suntory this season but they ran out of steam in the second half.

This puts Suntory in line to do the double - the League and the Championship. Last year they frustrated the Wild Knights who had won the league.
