Boss: Will miss the tour to New Zealand

The Leinster No 9 suffered a thigh injury in the warm-up ahead of the Heineken Cup final against Ulster.

And although Boss had hoped to prove his fitness ahead of the three-Test tour, he has now been ruled out of consideration - with Ulster's Paul Marshall in line for a call-up.

Paul O'Connell is still hoping to make the trip, though, with the talismanic lock set to travel to London to continue his rehabilitation from a knee injury.

A final decision on O'Connell's potential involvement will be made on Friday.

Ireland coach Declan Kidney, though, will confirm the remaining positions in his squad on Wednesday, following the match against the Barbarians.
