The Leicester brothers had already emulated their father, Nick, by playing for England. Now they all share the experience of beating the All Blacks.
Nick Youngs was England's scrum-half in 1983 when they beat New Zealand 15-9, thanks to a try from Maurice Colclough and 11 points from the boot of Dusty Hare.
Ben and Tom started their second Test together at Twickenham on Saturday, when England stormed to a record victory over the All Blacks.
It is a unique achievement. England have only beaten New Zealand seven times in their history and the Youngs family contributed to two of them.
"That's one of the great days in your rugby life," Ben Youngs said.
"From my point of view and my brother Tom's, we can finally shut up our Dad, who does like to remind us that he was England scrum-half when they beat New Zealand in 1983!"
The Youngs boys should listen to what happened after that victory 29 years ago: it was a glorious one-off. England stumbled through the 1984 Five Nations with three defeats from four matches.
While their victory was rightly celebrated, Ben Youngs and the current England squad are determined that Saturday's triumph is the start of something even more special.
"This must be seen as the start of a journey but it's important to include all four autumn Tests in that," Ben Youngs said.
"As a squad we are disappointed that we didn't win four from four.
"We shouldn't have allowed Australia and South Africa to get away from Twickenham with those narrow victories.
"What struck me, reading the programme before the game, was the birth dates of the lads, so many from 1987 to 1991 it's ridiculous.
"We have such potential, and so much more to learn, and that's the way to view this result.
"What was shown today is that this England squad came of age, that we fronted up, that we are learning against the best of the rest.
"Next it's preparing for the Six Nations, and we have our benchmark - an England record victory over New Zealand."
