Glenwood played Mendoza, which turned out to be the last match of their tour. After the match they set off on a four-hour flight for the Iguaçu Falls on the Iguazu River which is a tributary of the Paraná. The falls are one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World.
The last three days on tour were magical and the boys experienced things they could never have thought they would have seen - the magical wonder of the waterfalls. We viewed the waterfall from the Argentinian side and from the Brazilian side.
On the Argentinian side we took a boat right up into the mouth of the waterfall where 2000 cubic litres of water fall down per second.
The next day we went on a kilometre boardwalk on the Brazil side and saw the falls from a panoramic view that can't be seen from the other side.
The boys attended a cultural evening where different cultures showcased their national music and dances. The highlight was the Tango dance.
The fourth and final game was cancelled because the Argentinian President declared two days of mourning following the train tragedy. [The train crash happened at a Buenos Aires station. Apart from the injured 51 people died in the crash and President Cristina Fernandez declared two days of mourning.]
The tour was capped with a huge buffet asado (braai) in Buenos Aires.
